Well, well, hold your basketball balls and your earphones, friends, because here’s news that might make you raise an eyebrow or two. It seems that NBA superstar Kevin Durant has decided to embark on rap alongside veteran artist Stalley. Together they release the song entitled "Scared Money".

According to TMZ Hip Hop, KD and Stalley were recently seen filming the clip in New York. It’s a pretty interesting career development, KD, considering you have a full-time job as an NBA superstar.

Now, how did this particular collaboration come about, ask yourself? Well, apparently, KD felt a little adventurous. He was actively looking for instrumentals and wanted to work with rapper Salley. Their mutual friend, Travonne Edwards arrived with a boom-bap sound that eventually formed the backbone of "Scared Money".

And here’s the kicker, folks. Stalley says he was pleasantly surprised by the talent of the famous Phoenix Suns player. KD would have even spewed his verse faster than some seasoned rappers he met.

So, where can you get your hands on this piece of musical history? Well, it should be on Stalley’s next album, "Peerless", due out in March.

This is not the first KD rodeo on the music scene. No, he was seen in various radio shows, podcasts and even on television discussing his love for music. He even produced songs for rapper Dave East.  You’re talking about a jack of all trades.

Remember when KD and LeBron James teamed up for their “It Ain’t Easy” collaborative effort?  Let’s just say that there were mixed opinions on this point. In 2022, KD publicly declared Future’s album “I Never Liked You” as the album of the year. Well, everybody gets their own taste, right?

Let’s end things with a nod to the other NBA stars who have touched the music industry.  Some have reached new heights, while others...well, let’s just say they’ve remained firmly anchored. Well, who are we to judge?  After all, they offered us some entertaining moments along the way.
